Hydropac Ice Sheets
Instructions for Use
Hydropac provides ready hydrated and ready frozen Ice Sheets.
1. Ice Sheets may be stored in either a thawed or a frozen state depending on your storage and cooling facilities and usage requirement.
2. Ice Sheets must be frozen to -18c in order to deliver optimum cooling performance during shipment.
3. Ice Sheets should be placed within a freezing tray to speed freezing, for a small premium Ice Sheets are available from Hydropac in cardboard freeze trays. For volume users of Ice the Ice Sheets are available from Hydropac ready frozen again for a small premium.
4. Ice Sheets should not be removed from the freezer until you are ready to pack and seal your produce in an Insulated Box.
5. Ice Sheets should not be placed directly on any produce, whilst manufactured of food grade material the Ice Sheets will expel energy by trying to freeze produce rather than keeping the environment cooled.
6. Ensure all produce is suitably wrapped; shrink seal wrapping is recommended. Then ensure the produce is adequately protected and insulated with additional bubble wrap.
7. The number of Ice Sheets used will depend on the dimensions and weight of the produce and also the required shipment times. Hydropac will recommend the number of Ice Sheets according to information supplied by the customer and can not be held responsible for incorrect packaging or the use of fewer Ice Sheets than necessary.
