The latest of these innovations are featured in a new website, www.hydropac.co.uk, launched 8th May 2006. Commenting on the website Managing Director, Mike Collins, “Many individuals are turning to mail order as the most convenient way to buy direct from producers, most frequently purchasing online. As Hydropac’s customers include small and medium sized family businesses that sell the finest quality produce, we felt it was essential to offer them a greater depth of information on temperature control, whilst also showcasing new developments and our highly commended bespoke service.” In June 2006, Hydropac will launch Online Shopping for all standard products, incorporating a fast enquiry service for bespoke products and 24-hour delivery on samples of standard products. Hydropac’s new website details information on all standard and bespoke products; including Luxury Cuisine Shipper, a special insulated box with mitred corners, Ice Sheets and Carry Home Bags for the Mail Order and Catering Markets and Ice Sheets, Ice Cubies, Drinks Coolers for Retail and Promotional Markets. In addition the website provides information on the latest products with supporting technical data, latest news, customer markets and key customer benefits for choosing Hydropac. As leaders in design and manufacture, Mike Collins explains, “Continuous product development and exceptional customer service are central to Hydropac’s success. Described as the most powerful product available for temperature control, Hydropac’s new Duration Ice Sheets are double pocketed sheets with a greater cross-section for increased cooling capacity over longer shipping periods. The new website has supporting test results of the improved performance Duration Ice Sheets give in comparison with gel packs. In addition Hydropac has recently developed -8°C Duration Ice Sheets for frozen food shipment, as an alternative to dry ice, again maintaining the frozen cool chain. The website goes further to detail the expanding range of Ice Sheets now available ready frozen and in new freezer trays ready to go. Responding to customers’ needs has been a key element in Hydropac’s innovation drive, with the Hydropac’s novel Insulated Postal Pockets specifically designed envelopes for the shipment of fresh and smoked fish, shellfish, meat and dairy also showcased on the new website, available as a sample with full production by Mid-2006. Mike Collins continued, “With the growth in mail order for fishmongers, butchers and delicatessens, the Insulated Postal Pockets provide a perfect means of lightweight, temperature controlled food shipment offering the greater insulation and security, accommodating the new Mid-duration Ice Sheets for summer shipment and traditional Ice Sheets for winter shipments. Mike Collins emphasised Hydropac’s exceptional position in bespoke solutions, “Every customer is different and often requires unique packaging.
