Testing Data
1. Validation
All Hydropac Standard Products have been validated in a chamber. In addition,
all Bespoke Products are validated before release to a customer.
2. Testing Results
For any customers requiring specific or comparative testing, Hydropac
is happy to help.

Water Testing
Each Ice Sheet and Ice Mat is manufactured from food grade film with purified water contents (contents are certified weekly to be free from contaminants).
Hydropac complies with The Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2000 as required by The Health Protection Agency – London (conducted by London Food, Water & Environmental Microbiology Laboratory).

BSI Testing
Independent testing against key regulations and legislation is a key element in Hydropac’s quality management systems.
Hydropac is certified against specification BS EN ISO 12546-3:2000 for its Cooler Pack.

SGS Certificate
Hydropac submits samples of its products for independent consumer product testing against the European and US Regulations, Codes of Practice and Legislation. The SGS Certificate confirms that tests have been performed against the requirements of the Plastic Materials and Articles in Contact with Food Regulations 1998 (Commission Directive (EEC) No. 90/128 as amended) and Commission Directive (EEC) No. 2002/72.
3. Hydropac Food Contact Statement
Hydropac is pleased to confirm that the LDPE/ULDPE Grades used in the manufacture of its products meet the requirements of European Recommendations, Codes of Practice and Legislation. For full details of the food contact approval status of LDPE/ULDPE Grades used please visit this page.
Whilst Hydropac’s hygienic white low density polyethylene foam liner is manufactured in food certified material; it is not recommended that any food comes in contact with the liner as this would reduce the number of reuses possible. All food should be shrink wrapped and bubble wrapped for insulation and to optimise the cooling efficiency of the Ice Sheets.
4. Optimum Cooling Efficiency Calculation & Shipping Verification Certificate
Hydropac is happy to offer certification for validated shipping systems and carry out bespoke testing for its customers.
By providing as many variables as possible, Hydropac can provide the customer with a complete picture of the temperature controlled packaging solution and confrim this in an individual to order Shipping Verification Certificate. The variables include: product type, product weight in Kg, products chilled temperature, maximum transit temperature permitted, type of Ice Sheet and Box being used.
5. Auditing
Customer Auditing of Hydropac
Hydropac is happy to assist its customers conduct Supplier Audits
as part of their Quality Management Systems. These audits, whilst playing
an important role in supplier quality management, do take time to perform.
Thus, Hydropac would request that its customers discuss a suitable time
period in which to conduct the audit.
Some customers require Hydropac to complete a “Business and Quality Assurance Assessments”. This tends to address most of the questions a customer has about Hydropac’s quality systems.
Hydropac Auditing of Suppliers
Hydropac has undertaken its own Health and Safety and Conformity
assessments of its suppliers for:
British Standards Testing, Consumer Product Testing, Chemicals, Inner Cartons, Laminated and Plain Film, Water Pump and Filters, Water Laboratory, Foam, Component and Food Lubricant, Food Grade Water Dye and Conveyor Belt Supplies.
